Georgia, USAThe Jackson's Crossroad Amethyst Deposit is open to the public by appointment.It is a high-quality, new site requiring work to find the minerals. The amethysts are abundant but you will need to dig. Because it is such a new site, plan on bringing your own tools and supplies for the dig. NEW HAMPSHIREGrafton, New HampshireThe Ruggles Mine is open to the public and has deposits of mica, feldspar, beryl, and amethyst. It is the oldest and largest mine of its kind in the United States.
