December Flower. The White Narcissus!

The flower is related to the daffodil. It has white translucent petals and the simple, elegant beauty of an orchid.

It is named after the Greek mythological man who drowned admiring and kissing his reflection in a lake. The story is that after he drowned he was turned into the white narcissus.

The paperwhite narcissus symbolizes peace and renewal. They are very fragrant flowers and the perfect birthday flower in the winter months!!!

How to Grow

They are easy to force bloom and are available in flower shops in December as a special winter treat.
